|Sociologist Yuval Yonay organizes the Nakba Day mourning for Israel's Existence at Haifa University|
This is a preliminary invitation for the Nakbah memorial
we conduct for the third year at the University of Haifa.
The event will take place on
Sunday the 23rd of May 2004
between 4 and 8 PM
at the Sfadia auditorium,
University of Haifa.
Please mark your calander and help us distribute this
invitation; tell your students, friends, and colleagues
and post to other relevant electronic lists.
This year we will have two sessions.
The first, also honoring Ilan Pappe's
_A History of Modern Palestine_,
will discuss the question what options the Palestinians
had in 1947.
The second session will be on the
Knowledge of the Nakbah as a precondition for peace
