The leftist academic boycott says "BOYCOTT Israel academics because of
the actions of the Israeli GOVERNMENT".
Here the people are not calling for a boycott. Rather they are saying
"It is our purpose to expose the activities and statements of Israel's
academic extremists." It is kind of like "Let the buyer beware." Look at
what is being done with the money that you donate to Israeli universities.
It has nothing to do with freedom of speech. Freedom of speech has a
price. If a academic abuses his position to promote his political
agenda(No, that never happens in Israel!), he can expect that those that
oppose his opinions will not subsidize his salary. On the other hand,
those that support that agenda can donate money to the university that
employs the academic in question.
The activity of "Israel Academia Monitor" falls under "the public's right
to know". Plain and simple.
